What kind of hotels are in italy

Picking out the right accommodation for your holiday in Italy is as important as choosing places to visit and things to do. Hotels in Italy are so various and picturesque that they are the first thing to take into consideration when customizing your itinerary around the country.

Being the 5th most visited country in the world, Italy is without a doubt a tourist country. According to recent studies, there are 4,, beds available in different types of accommodation. Although there are many different solutions that allows you to experience alternative holidays, a hotel is still the most chosen for visiting the country.

Some of them are world-renowned while others are authentic hidden gems, some are part of world history while others are in the hearts of few tourists, but what makes all of them special is their astonishing diversity. Choosing the right one among 33, Italian hotels could be hard, and so here is a helpful list of the most unique in the country, a starting point for planning your next holiday in Italy. With 18, euros per night for its Royal Suite, the Four Seasons Hotel in Florence takes the first place of the most expensive hotel in Italy.

Such a huge amount of money is worth every single euro: this astonishing hotel situated in an art-filled Renaissance palace and a restored 15th-century convent is richer in history and art than many museums around the country. Original Majolica floor, superb frescoes and hand-painted sculptures are part of the Renaissance atmosphere of all 37 rooms of the hotel; three award-winning gourmet restaurants treat you with the finest Italian cuisine, and an exclusive spa, secluded within the ancient trees of Giardino della Gherardesca, makes your staying in Florence a relaxing experience.

When it comes to romanticism, Italy is probably the best place to go for a couple that wants to spend some time together. There are many places around the country that make a trip to Italy simply unforgettable for a couple. One of them — and this is a tip that comes straight from Shakespeare — is Verona and its balcony from which Juliet used to wait for her eternal love, Romeo! It just doesn't get any better than this.

Next, the staff were absolutely amazing. Always smiling and ready to help. We felt very welcomed, which I can't say for most hotels in Italy. The only drawback is that the hotel is under renovation and that kind of made it a bit weird for us as there was construction happening on s The only drawback is that the hotel is under renovation and that kind of made it a bit weird for us as there was construction happening on site and some facilities in the room were not fully functional.

Regardless, it surprisingly didn't bother us much as the room was pretty spacious and again - the staff were simply amazing. Rome is the first place we start visiting Italy , this hotel brings us a good start. Feel very safe, clean , quiet while at the center of the city. The most important is beside Rome terminal, so we can catch the train to the next destination -Florence, very easy for time -controlling. The br The breakfast is impressive and many choice of drinks , but only lack of hot food for the start of the day.

Highly recommend this hotel! I was on my honeymoon with my wife. We went to several cities in Greece and Italy, and this was no doubt the best hotel we stayed in Europe.

The room is huge, interior design is beautiful, the bed is incredibly comfortable, the staff were very friendly and helpful. In addition, you get free access to the fully equipped gym and spa facilities. Love this place, and i wou Love this place, and i would certainly recommend this place to our friends.

The only bummer is the 20 euro western breakfast. The Aldrovandi Borgese hotel has old world charm with all the modern amenities you'd expect at a 5 star hotel. The beds were comfortable, the breakfast buffet was wonderful and Enzo the conceriege was extremely knowledgeable and helpful.

We enjoyed talking the hotel's bikes for a ride in Borghese park followed by wine and hors d'oeuvres at the lovely terrace restaura We enjoyed talking the hotel's bikes for a ride in Borghese park followed by wine and hors d'oeuvres at the lovely terrace restaurant by the pool.

The staff was terrific from the bell boys, to the restaurants, and housekeeping, everyone was professional and attentive to our need. My only complaint is thst our rooms were not ready at 2 although that's the specified check in time and we had arrived at the hotel at 11am.

The lady at the front desk offered us a complementary drink for the inconvenience but nerve followed through on the offer. She should have given us a voucher to to redeem at the bar or a small room credit. Also we were a family of 7 and booked three rooms. The hotel requested that we change our room to a higher room catagory for a triple which we did. We loved our 3 days in Rome and our stay at the Aldrovandi however management should address the front desk issues. Agoda rocks first at all, I have to move the reservation day as I have made a mistake and they help me move it with no charge for the day I needed!

Called Agoda in Italy and this gentleman send me the reservation and to the hotel immediately! The hotel is a dream, the loc The hotel is a dream, the location cannot be better and the facility across with the never hotel and spa plus gardens is beautiful! The staff was amazing, will be back for sure and the price at Agoda rocks! This is the best hotel I ever had! If you like to stay in a beautiful luxury hotel I'm highly recommend this hotel.

The interior deco and room was very unique and feels like you are in the royal place. Breakfast, environment, services are perfect! Just right next to the centre attraction Piazza San Marco 1 minute walk. Luna Baglioni is exactly behind the Chanel bou Luna Baglioni is exactly behind the Chanel boutique, fashion street. Jolly President is extremely conveniently located, near the major shopping area of Milan less than 5 minutes walk and close to Duomo and Galleria. The staff are friendly and helpful.

Good recommendation of shopping destinations and restaurants. Taxi stand right in front of the hotel always a nightmare to get taxi in Milan so the taxi stand is very handy. Also, t Also, there is a bus stop with bus to Linate Airport important when taxi goes on strike which happens a bit too often in Italy!

Alfonso waited 3 hours for us to arrive as we were late. He provided the best service humanly possible! Just make sure you show up on the time you planned! Could not have asked for a better experience and will be returning soon!! The manager, Giorgia, was so helpful to us. She has a great understanding of hospitality and was incredibly professional and kind. Just returned from our 4 night stay. It was one of the best places i have ever stayed at. Location is amazing, walking distance to all that Rome has to offer.

Free parking which helped us as we had a car. Great breakfast with plenty of fresh and yummy options. The room was so big and specious, set out in traditional Italian style and super clean. But the best thing abo But the best thing about this place was the friendly and helpful service and staff.

We absolutely loved our stay and could not recommend it enough. Lovely Hotel Staying one night but leaving for the airport early morning. Hated to go to Hated to go to sleep--what a lovely way to end a fabulous trip. Got to Agoda through TripAdvisor. Seemed like an unusual name but was rated really well so we gave it a shot.

Down a rather unlikely alley but nice front entrance. They sit you down in a small office to check in and bring you a glass of proseco. Lots of interesting and quirky art. We had a standard premium room which was nice albeit rather small. Fabulous looking Fabulous looking shower. Terrific roof deck. Wouldn't hesitate to return. Just wouldn't drink in the bar.

No one in dining room on a Thur. The real differences of this hotel is the staff, Christine at the front desk was incredible in how she accommodated eve The real differences of this hotel is the staff, Christine at the front desk was incredible in how she accommodated every need with a smile.

Great hotel and location is spot on for first timers. Doorman was very helpful everyday with best places to go. Breakfast plentiful. Originally put in wrong room but upgraded to better suite once realised. Would stay again. Great location in the heart of Florence historic center, rooms are nice with a touch of reinassance style and extremely clean. However for a 5 star i would expect more in terms of facilities and details in the room are quite basics.

Helpful staff. Amazing property, staff, food, wine. A fantastic hotel experience. I would suggest not leaving the property, it's too enjoyable and the perfect place to relax. Indoor and outdoor pools, both with amazing views.

A spa with a good massage therapist only one therapist so book in advance. Great wine, food, service, a gym, bike rentals Very clean and big rooms, wit Very clean and big rooms, with screens on the windows luckily all of Italy has bugs in summer so the screens were very welcome!

If you do plan to go vineyard hopping or exploring around the area - get a car rental for sure before you go to the hotel.

Getting a rental there is super pricey and so are drivers. But the hotel also has a vineyard on the property with great wines so I would suggest just doing that and staying on the beautiful grounds! Location was splendid! We were not able to locate the door of the hotel Lobby located on 5th level. Signs were not enough to indicate. But once we locate the hotel, we were warmly received by the hotel staff. Love the hassle free pin code in replacement of keys!

Bathroom were separated, with a big sink in between on the outside. Only issue was that the drainage of the shower was not so great. So if you are the type that put on max strength for the shower, you may risk flooding the bathroom.

Overall, I will definitely recommend my friends to try this hotel as well as coming back again! I booked through the Agoda app and stayed in the junior suite for 3 nights in October I simply loved everything.

The rooms and bathrooms are spacious and clean, and the staff extremely helpful and welcoming. Special thanks to Julio for his warm welcome and assistance. Everything is perfect. Room was clean. Breakfast is very nice. Concierge is excellent. And the location is the best.

The service was immaculate from the moment we arrived, the room was a little smaller then we had anticipated but was beautiful and had everything we needed.

Definitely make an effort to have a drink Definitely make an effort to have a drink here even if you are not eating in the restarurant. The staff were extremely accommodating and even sent a bottle of prosecco to the room for my birthday even though we had not mentioned it. The only change I would possibly make would be to have tea and coffee amenities in the room but this was a small wish.

I would happily stay here for every visit to Rome. Very nice spacious and clean room. Breakfast was very good. Best out of the hotels we stay on our trip. Staff were very helpful. Location is only good if you don't mind staying in a trendy area out of the main centre close with all the attractions.

We caught the subway easily. Interesting mix of tourists Very nice neighbourhood. Car park of hotel is underground with a narrow entrance. They don't offer valet service. We would stay here again. Lovely little boutique hotel in excellent location 10 minutes walk to the Duomo, lots of restaurants nearby. Please note a new underground line is being built in the vicinity so that in the future there will be a stop outside the hotel and the line goes to Linate Airport.

Our room was lovely, spacious, balcony, excellent bed, pillow and linen. However, some room are r However, some room are really small. Not really 5 star as toiletries just about OK, no complimentary water, no hospitality tray and some people may find it annoying but no English channels on TV. Breakfast average to good but service poor. Overall I would definitely go back when the underground line is complete and I can jump on the tube from Linate.

This is a good hotel under HIlton Group. We had a great night in venice and all the services from this hotel is great. The only not perfect thing is you cant get wifi to online in the room. We must come down the lobby to connect to the Wifi. For the breakfast, you will have the english style breakfast and the food taste good.

You must try the dinner in the italy restau You must try the dinner in the italy restaurant in this hotel as well. The hotel was superb! It was nicely situated along the river. It was about a 20 minute walk to the ponte vecchio but it was such a lovely walk and there were great open parks and gatherings along the way. We were actually glad that it was a little bit away from everything or we would have missed out on seeing such a lively part of the city!

The hotel and its staff wer The hotel and its staff were incredible. They had taxis and a free shuttle service so getting in and out of the center of town was very easy, but we still preferred to walk.

The outdoor and indoor pool were a welcome during our stay as we were in Florence in July so it was quite hot, but the pool offered a nice escape from the heat. There are also so many wonderful touches that the hotel adds like flavored water and biscotti and candy jars at arrival and their custom bath products were great! The hotel offers great excursions and can even arrange a cooking class within the hotel.

Our room was upgraded and it was so comfortable and roomy and honestly we didn't want to leave! The bartender Andreas was so kind and we looked forward to having our afternoon or evening nightcap with him upon our return to the hotel. I can't recommend this hotel enough. I will absolutely be back and there's nowhere else I would want to stay in Florence. The hotel has everything you could hope for and more! Beautiful hotel on the street with the poshest hotels in the city.

The area around the bar is stunning! Probably one of the best properties in Rome. Large rooms with equally large washrooms. Our room had a balcony as well. Reception staff is curt, concierge team is very sweet not amazing w Reception staff is curt, concierge team is very sweet not amazing with their suggestions , restaurant staff is helpful and so is the bell desk.

Certain parts of the hotel certainly need upgradation and modernisation. Such as the TVs not like we are watching much while travelling , the corridor to the rooms and some other smaller and insignificant things. I guess for this reason the Westing Excelsior is cheaper than some other 5 stars in the city. Overall it was completely worth it, had a great stay and totally glad I picked it. Highly recommended and will stay again.

The Ambasciatori Palace Hotel turned out to be just as I would have hoped and expected. The Via Veneto location is convenient and lovely with its trees, shops, restaurants and night life. Its proximity to Piazza Bernini is also a plus for those searching out less costly items to bring back to friends and relatives as souvenirs.

To stay at this hotel when in Roma is To stay at this hotel when in Roma is to experience this marvelous city at its very best! My two minor issues were - a the radio did not work; and b on check-in the room was not available, and the receptionist took my phone number to inform me once the room is available, but I received no such call. Igloos are typically available from late December to mid-March each season. At the touch of a button, the ceiling of the room rolls away, leaving the oversize four-poster bed open to the fresh air. During the day, you can enjoy the sweeping views over the Franciacorta vineyards and Lake Iseo, and at night you'll sleep peacefully under a blanket of stars.

Years ago, the town was deserted when its residents went in search of work in the cities. Now it has been fully restored, but with a specific focus on maintaining the old identity and architecture of the area. There is modern technology—and toilets that flush, of course—but most traces of the 21st century are hidden away.

Instead, guests can focus on the buildings, which feature original antique furniture and textiles, and minimalist, medieval style rooms, all with working fireplaces. Built over 20 feet up among giant pine trees, the suite is spacious and includes a private wrap-around deck with expansive views. When weather permits, hotel staff will even move your bed out onto the terrace so that you can sleep among the stars, and wake up and eat breakfast with the sunrise.

The Aman brand is well known for its high-end Zen aesthetic, but the Aman Venice is a bit of a departure. Though the furnishings adhere to their particular mode of sleek minimalism, the striking 16th-century palazzo on the Grand Canal that now houses the hotel is of a different style entirely with its gilded moldings and ornate architecture.

Book the Alcova Tiepolo Suite, where the room and bedroom are adorned with ceiling frescoes by famed 18th-century painter Tiepolo. Or pick the Sansovino Stanza to stay in a room with a fireplace and wood paneling carved by in-demand architect Sansovino in the 16th century. Hidden away in the very heart of Bologna, Torre Prendiparte is one of the last remaining 12th-century towers in the city.
